Grandia is a popular RPG game series created by Game Arts. Over the years, the games were published by different companies including Sony Computer Entertainment, Ubisoft, Square Enix, and others. The series has been released on many platforms such as Sega Saturn, PlayStation, Dreamcast, Nintendo Switch, and PC.
The Grandia HD Collection, which includes the first two Grandia games, was released for the Nintendo Switch in North America and Europe on August 16, 2019, and later in Japan on March 25, 2020. The PC version, called Grandia HD Remaster, was released on October 15, 2019. On the same day, Grandia II HD Remaster also received major updates and a new name. By April 2009, the Grandia series had sold over 2 million copies worldwide. The latest original game in the series was Grandia Online, released for PC in 2009. The online service continued for about three years before shutting down in September 2012.
