About the Game
Constance is a 2D hand-drawn action-adventure game where you play as an artist trying to escape a colorful yet broken inner world shaped by her declining mental health. Using a magical paintbrush, you can move fluidly through the environment—diving into walls and the ground, attacking enemies, and solving puzzles in creative ways. Throughout the journey, you must carefully manage your powers, as overusing them can corrupt your paint and lead to negative effects. Along the way, you collect inspiration that allows you to create sketches in your journal, enhancing your abilities and making you stronger with upgrades. The world itself reflects Constance’s inner struggles, with each area representing different aspects of her emotions, memories, and personal history. You will also experience playable flashbacks that reveal her past, exploring themes like creativity, purpose, and the balance between work and life.
